Powertrusion International, Inc.'s distributor, Compass Power Services Co. , has been awarded a blanket purchase order by Southern California Edison (SCE) for the purchase of Powertrusion’s patented fiberglass composite utility poles.

Las Vegas , NV . – Powertrusion International, Inc. today announced that its distributor, Compass Power Services Co. , has been awarded a blanket purchase order by Southern California Edison (SCE) for the purchase of Powertrusion’s patented fiberglass composite utility poles. The terms of the order are confidential, but it is relevant to note that SCE is the industry-leader in the use of fiberglass composite poles as an alternative to wood.

Fiberglass composite utility poles have a very high strength-to-weight ratio and are non-conductive. Unlike chemically-treated wood poles, the poles are environmentally safe. They also have a longer expected life than wood poles.

Southern California Edison, headquartered in Rosemead , California , is one of the nation’s largest electric utilities with 12 million customers in a 50,000 square-mile service area.

Compass Power Services Co. is located in Santa Fe Springs , California .
